What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): this update was lost and I went to Midland library to retrieve learners names from 5/25/16 and I found 11 names! To all Djs please make sure you update the attendance and past tense journal on time, thank you! Oh also I had to move it from the midland summer topic to this Spring midland topic!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): I did “try my recipe” for Marc. I had to make a lesson plan for Mark and he had to teach the class using my lesson plan. Overall it was a good class. We had 4 new learners today! At times it was confusing to lead the class because it was kind of a practice of using my techniques and methods that Marc wasn’t sure how to conduct!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We did Alphabet sheet, yell n spell which took a pretty decent amount of time. Patrik uses great techniques to extend an activity for a long period of time and it works! one of our learners started writing sentences instead of drawing with a marker on top of the letters written by one of the other students, I think it’s a wonderful and powerful achievement.

Doing listen and point activity was very fun with the maps students got really into in and were competing who’s gonna find a street name on the map first! One new low-level learner. Great class!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): It was Claudia’s dress rehearsal and for her first time I think she did great. We started with the Alphabet where I demonstrated some techniques how to improve the alphabet sheet. Then we did Yell n Spell, the title of today’s.. Then Round robin. Claudia’s pace was a little bit fast but overall not bad. I suggested and demonstrated some techniques how to approach the round robin. Overall a nice class.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): One of the most successful classes ever! it was “try my recipe” for Alex. I made a lesson plan for Alex and he had to follow the instructions. I took the lead at some point to show Alex some techniques and it was too much fun! learners were not used to that kind of fun so some of them were literally cracking up, especially with TPR and with “honey, are you hungry?” “Yes, I am” we gave them candies afterwards. Alex said that he has noted and learned some techniques and that he’s gonna try some activities differently now.
