We began with alphabet sheets and yell and spell names. We followed this with the title of today’s lesson and modeled a dialogue for them. They wrote this down, then practiced with each other. We then got different pictures of places of nature features present at Oxbow and did the, “This is a _” activity. We also did a word search and a short dictation at the end.June 10, 2016 at 3:00 pm #7619Graziella IoeleSpectatorLesson Title: So long as you have food in your mouth you have solved all problems for the time being

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): I did “try my recipe” for Marc. I had to make a lesson plan for Mark and he had to teach the class using my lesson plan. Overall it was a good class. We had 4 new learners today! At times it was confusing to lead the class because it was kind of a practice of using my techniques and methods that Marc wasn’t sure how to conduct!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): After warm up activities, Sheila led a word search using a blueberry fact sheet. She then did a dictation progression using a short dialogue about berry season, after which students practiced the dictation. After that she did an activity that got everyone out of their seats, a body part listen and point. She finished with a multi-part activity that began with her drawing a fruit on the board, asking the students to guess the name of the fruit, asking the students to guess the spelling, picking a student who had called out the correct spelling and having them lead a yell and spell for the rest of the class, writing the name of the fruit on the board, and finally asking students to indicate with a gesture whether they liked, loved, or didn’t like the fruit at all.
