    Assistants: Claudia, Judy, Manny
    Module: Society & Culture: Family
    How Many Learners: 16
Materials Status (loyalty cards, alphabet sheets, etc): I cut more loyalty cards, the green bucket needs organizing

    Self Evaluation

Preparation: Forgot to Show Up (1) vs. Every Hair In Place (10) = 4
Technique: Completely Incompetent (1) vs. Flawless Delivery (10) = 5
Engagement: Snoring Loudly (1) vs. Absolutely Riveted (10) = 6
    Connection: Open Hostility (1) vs. Kumbayah (10) = 7
    Poise: Charlie Brown (1) vs. Prince (10) = 7
    Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 6

    Total Score: 35

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Nice feeling, strong response from learners. I left the folks a little more stratified into level groups this time, which slowed down one end of the table, but the other end of the table just talked up a storm together, and the lower skill folks bonded a little better. It’s really great to see what happens when the group starts to develop a community.

    Total Score: 22

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): One of the lowest scores I’ve given.. though it wasn’t terrible.. the energy was low, it was hard to get folks engaged.. mostly because there were a lot of new people, and our shyest people were there, and a new shadower that I was training in place. Also, I struggled to get there on time, and had to take a car2go and rush to get there.

    Total Score: 27

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): A nice class.. Judy and I noted that there was a good connection, but a little difficult to keep folks on track. We went around and asked people to ask each other their mothers’ names, which didn’t quite take off. needed a little more focus, and maybe not at the end of the class. Starting to struggle with people coming late and leaving early.. when folks leave early, it ends the energy a little bit.

Song “We are Family” was well received, but still need a better speaker, though the little one was better than the one on the tablet. Coached Judy a little bit about giving feedback, but she was very receptive, a great support in the space!
