What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): It’s been several days since I’ve done this class, so I’ve given a low score.. I do remember we had one new Russian speaker, and I had to work with a couple of new folks who were great given the situation. A surprisingly large class for a Monday.

How Many Learners: 16
Materials Status (loyalty cards, alphabet sheets, etc):Self Evaluation
Preparation: Forgot to Show Up (1) vs. Every Hair In Place (10) = 3

Poise: Charlie Brown (1) vs. Prince (10) = 5
Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 3Total Score: 27
What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): A nice class.. Judy and I noted that there was a good connection, but a little difficult to keep folks on track. We went around and asked people to ask each other their mothers’ names, which didn’t quite take off. needed a little more focus, and maybe not at the end of the class. Starting to struggle with people coming late and leaving early.. when folks leave early, it ends the energy a little bit.

Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 4Total Score: 22
What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): One of the lowest scores I’ve given.. though it wasn’t terrible.. the energy was low, it was hard to get folks engaged.. mostly because there were a lot of new people, and our shyest people were there, and a new shadower that I was training in place. Also, I struggled to get there on time, and had to take a car2go and rush to get there.

Module: In the kitchen
How Many Learners: 16
Materials Status (loyalty cards, alphabet sheets, etc): We need more copies of the alphabet sheet.Self Evaluation

Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 3Total Score: 22
What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): It was Tony’s “Gentle Intervention” the class went great. There were some small mistakes with technique but each time i noted to him and explained the small mistakes. Overall the class was really nice and alive. Tony and I practiced his lesson plan before class with each activity. We imagined that was teaching at the moment and I believe that rehearsal also prepared him a little bit and took away a little bit of stress.
March 16, 2016 at 12:04 am #7307Arien LorenzoSpectatorLesson Title: My family

Materials Status (loyalty cards, alphabet sheets, etc): cards with the faces of the Simpson’s family, printouts of the Simpson’s family tree.Self Evaluation
Preparation: Forgot to Show Up (1) vs. Every Hair In Place (10) = 7

Poise: Charlie Brown (1) vs. Prince (10) = 5
Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 8Total Score: 34
What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We started the class with 9 learners, all usual students but one. We did Alphabet, Listen and Point, and enjoyed the support offered by the older, higher level learners to less skilled folks. One could feel it’s a class with a connection and a lot of enthusiasm. During the last stage of the class 3 more learners come in, which changed the dynamics a bit, but they were quickly integrated and got involved in the activity that was taking place.
Diana put in a lot of effort in the lesson planning and creating a set of cards to play Go Fish. It did pay off.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Great class with many Shadowers. Patrik assigned each Shadower sections of the table and we begun our lesson. Each shadower was very busy helping learners each time. I liked the use of many Alphabet letter at once such as, “AEIAE” it was even confusing for the shadowers to follow the paterns. I found the use of many letters as a very productive way to try to concentrate on a task. Therefore, I’m gonna use that technique in my classes.
