However, right next door, a friend from Unite Oregon and Interpreter were there, plus many Spanish speakers, including some that I knew from the class at DDHS! And, one of the learners is an old friend, who I hadn’t seen in a while, so we got to catch up. We even called May on the phone to say hello! We sang My Girl for Valentine’s day, and one of the learners really liked it.

Two young learners with parents, and several new people, and one person who speaks English well, but struggles with writing, took a little encouraging to get her to copy.

That was great.. then I showed a video which was a little too fast, and asked them to guess what the three sisters were. They couldn’t figure it out. We gave some hints and arrived at corn beans, squash, and that led to another video. Then a learner was like, they made us plant these together and I didn’t know why! It wasn’t astounding.. and I was very tired, but it still was pretty elegant.

Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 7What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): a friend plus our regular came, as well as our person with a condition. we ended up talking about family a lot, but near the end, we opened up to talk about the learners condition, and how difficult things were, which allowed another learner to share a similar story, and talk about how people need to be more open to include people who have disabilities, not the other way around. Everyone was crying.
