    Assistants/Shadowers/Auditioner: Taryn
    Module: Maps & Addresses

Materials Status (loyalty cards, alphabet sheets, etc): good.

    Self Evaluation

Preparation: Forgot to Show Up (1) vs. Every Hair In Place (10) = 5

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): small group, but fun to see some learners from the past, they were very welcoming and complementary. a little awkwardness between two learners, and one of the learners possibly paying a bit too much attention to Taryn, we felt should have been mixed up a bit. Last day at Midland until April!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): I was late to this class, had to call ahead. Thankfully, folks were there. It was a weird day at the library, and a weird day in general. I was on my back foot the entire time, and the video wasn’t well delivered. Bleah. But the good thing.. some old friends were in the library and started coming to the class!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): wow, only two! it was a cold rainy night after a nice day, that might account for it. However, right next door, a friend from Unite Oregon and Interpreter were there, plus many Spanish speakers, including some that I knew from the class at DDHS! And, one of the learners is an old friend, who I hadn’t seen in a while, so we got to catch up. We even called May on the phone to say hello! We sang My Girl for Valentine’s day, and one of the learners really liked it.

    Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 3

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): set up the class asking about the three sisters, and one learner mentioned the mountains. That was great.. then I showed a video which was a little too fast, and asked them to guess what the three sisters were. They couldn’t figure it out. We gave some hints and arrived at corn beans, squash, and that led to another video. Then a learner was like, they made us plant these together and I didn’t know why! It wasn’t astounding.. and I was very tired, but it still was pretty elegant.

Everyone was crying.
