    Class started on time and ended on time. It was Julie’s first lesson-plan-less class. We did a lot of dialog and the learners worked together the whole time. Most of the class consisted of pretty high level learners so everything went smoothly.

    What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We started the class on time with the alphabet sheet and the names of everyone. From then on, Julie introduced Sharon, our guest speaker, who modeled the proper way to cross the street outside of Midland and shared tips on pedestrian safety. The class ended with Genet sharing the food she had brought.

We did a couple round robin activities with locations and located places on a map of downtown. Then, we ended the class writing and singing the lyrics to “These are the people in your neighborhood” which was enjoyed by everybody.

    The class stated and ended exactly on time. There were a lot of new learners (5 or 6). The class focused mainly on directions and street names and locating them on a map. We ended the class with the song “These are the People in Your Neighborhood”.

    Class started a few minutes late and ended on time. Only one learner showed up at 6 but five more came in in the next few minutes. After the alphabet and say and spell, we did diction relating to Bah Humbug and round robin with pictures of thing relating to Christmas. The room was full of energy and Ramin did a great job connecting with the learners, including a new/difficult learner.

    Class started and ended on time. After working with confusables we did Christmas related diction explaining key elements of Christmas which took up the majority of the time. The class ended with listening to “Jingle Bells” and writing down the lyrics. All of the learners were returning learners and none of which seemed to be difficult in anyway.

People were laughing the entire time making the class fun. A couple of learners seemed to struggle but were helped a lot by the people around them.

We went through a few dialogues having the learners write them down and do choral response and round robin. There were a few new learners and a lot of laughing. Class ended with a picture based round robin.
