What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Lots of laughing and the learners were really connected. They worked together more than usual. We started doing the shopping module so I brought in change and we played a game with that- kind of like physical listen and find where I said an amount and they counted out that much. We did dictation and this is a n apple with eh change. Class ended with a listen and find with some Fred Meyer ads. The learners really loved the hands on real world material.

There was a lot of laughing and learners are understanding how to help each other rather than doing the work for them. We had an odd start because we had a hard time getting copies of the alphabet sheet so we started with a short dictation of some vocabulary words. We did a fun TPR activity that had the learners running around and laughing. The class ended with a dialog that we ran out of time to completely do so we had the learners on one said speak fro person 1 and the learners on the other side speak for person2.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): It was the first class at this site. We started the class off, after names and the alphabet sheet, with pronunciation rather than writing. The class went on to include round robin questions, this is an apple, and some dictation. Even though it was the first class the learners worked well together, there wasn’t a lot o confusion, and there was a lot of laughing.
