What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Borrowed a lesson plan from Na’ama, as I did not know much about the materials; it worked out well! I went through things a little quickly and ad-libbed some dictation at the end, but I think the learners all felt engaged and enjoyed the lesson.

MC: HerbHappyHero (Sarah’s Dress Rehearsal)
DJ: JacobSensitiveRaconteur
Assistants/Shadowers/Auditioner: N/a
Module: Oregon Territory
How Many Learners: 12
Materials Status (loyalty cards, alphabet sheets, etc): I think the alphabet sheets are a bit low. Everything else seems find.Self Evaluation
Preparation: Forgot to Show Up (1) vs. Every Hair In Place (10) = 6
Technique: Completely Incompetent (1) vs. Flawless Delivery (10) = 7
Engagement: Snoring Loudly (1) vs. Absolutely Riveted (10) = 6

Poise: Charlie Brown (1) vs. Prince (10) = 4
Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 5Total Score: 34
What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Sara’s dress rehearsal went very, very well! One of our learners showed up 15 minutes early, and had a big presence – she asked us to put the two long tables together length wise, which I wasn’t a fan of, but we ended up getting a dozen learners plus two kids, and they exactly fit around the table.
This group clearly knows each other well; there was lots of banter and laughter throughout the lesson. We hit a couple of small snags – none of us knew where the cloth Oregon maps were, but Sara found them later, and she also kindly allowed me to model choral response for her once, which I asked to do after I noticed her rushing through once of the sentences she had dictated. Afterwards, everything went very smoothly!

Lots of dictation, lots of laughter, great class!
