What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Joseph brought in some Christmas carols and led the learners to sing them. A couple advanced words and a few unusual words found in the carols excited the learners and they were pleased to learn them. Class harmony was top notch with learners helping each other from across the table and everything felt ideally productive.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Maureen was very inventive and brought a game for the learners and helpers to participate in and recreate an Olympic event. She also brought in Scrabble tiles and divided the class into two teams. The teams raced each other to see who could spell several words we encountered in the dictation part of the class. Very fun and engaging class overall.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Interesting class in that all learners except Olga were Spanish speakers. Three new learners which was nice. Learners were challenged with numbers as Elizabeth had them write out, pronounce, and word-find various number combinations found in sentences. Learners also had fun discovering which sports were which in a list of events at the Rio Olympics.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): After yell and spell and alphabet pointing, Elizabeth taught how to play a guided version of Twenty Questions. Learners were engaged with learning new words and forming questions with them and then again seeing those words in the answers to the questions. The last activity consisted of the learners finding adjectives on a sheet of words that Elizabeth had created.
