    The dictation followed a simple pattern that was easy for less adept learners to follow, but had some changes that made it more than rote busy work for higher level learners.

Ready, Alphabet Point, Yell and Spell, Today’s Lesson is…, What is it?, Document Search, and Stand and Point (Compass Directions) were utilized. Energy was very positive with plenty of laughter. Students had to contend with “to” and “two,” and some grammatical tense issues, “It is a candy cane.” “It is peppermint.”

    What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Joseph learned about where and how we can make copies. The class flowed really well. The lesson plan ended up being a bit short of material, but Ramin really helped by suggesting an activity to Janet, which worked really well.
    The class did Listen & Point, Yell & Spell, Today’s Lesson is…, Sung “Around the Mulberry Bush” with phrases and actions to describe daily activities, Document Search, and Dictation about the Moveable Feast.
    The class was having fun, at one point laughing over “I don’t want mice or insects in my chicken” when the word was supposed to be “kitchen.” Also, during document search, the competition to find something first got really competitive in a fun way.
