What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): The MC taught a lesson based around knowing the cardinal and intermediate directions. The MC was also having a gentle intervention so in the beginning we spent a lot of time on the alphabet sheet, which was useful practice to around individual pronunciation. We did not get to complete the entire lesson, but the parts that we did seemed fun for the learners who were connecting with each other and helping one another out. We practiced pointing in all directions and orienting ourselves with a compass along with some dictation of directions.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): The MC provided a great lesson on population and US statistics on immigration. The variety of activities were engaging for the learners and had a commonality which allowed for alternating between worksheets and repeat language. Dictation, document searches, pictionary definitions and creating a sentence from cut up words allowed collaboration of both learners and facilitators. Overall awesome cohesive lesson!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): The MC had an amazing class and was being observed by a PPT Facilitator. The MC engaged the learners by providing them with real world context of native plants and positively reinforcing each learner’s pronunciation, spelling and fluency. The lesson was taken outside at the end to provide tangible materials (identifying plants) in a Round Robin fashion. An excellent debrief at the end of class where the MC was given material on where they can grow as a future PPT Facilitator! Way to go!

Unfortunately we didn’t get to sing the song the MC planned but we did get the learners out of their seats after a dictation and round robin activity.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): the MC presented language focused around how to be safe in the event of an earthquake; the learners were challenged to produce new language; the lesson was perhaps too challenging for most of the learners, however, they appreciated the importance and reality of the subject matter. The MC did a great job stepping out of her comfort zone and trying something new!
