Class activities were dynamic and fun. Learners were helpful towards each others and engaged throughout the lesson. A spelling contest at the end brought out the competitive spirit of learners and reinforced the words learned throughout the lesson which was great. Everyone received flowers which was an amazing energy booster. All in all positive ambiance for an optimal learning experience

We had seven learners and one shadower, who was really helpful, allowing the MC and DJ to focus more on each learner’s strength and weakness . Learners were helpful and patient with each other.

The learners were engaged and enthusiastic when helping their neighbors. The lesson was relevant and well structured with valuable information. The “yes or no” activity brought laughers and strengthen the understanding of the learners.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): The class started small and was rapidly filled (11 learners)! the Mc started with a round robin asking if anyone could sing a Christmas song with the answer no. Then , we did a dictation progression of some sentences from “All I want for Christmas is you” followed by a a seek and point. We listened to the song and everyone tried to sing it while following the lyrics. Besides, we did a seek and point for “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and sang the song. The final round-robin involved asking if anyone could sing a Christmas song and the answer was yes! The class was really engaged and everyone seems to be having fun.

The MC chose a great lesson plan to celebrate Veterans Day on the day Veterans Day was observed incorporating a history about Veterans Day, a poem by John McCrae “in Flanders Field”. The lesson was dynamic and the 3 new learners were engaged even though each had a different pace. Anne handmade some beautiful poppies which were passed around the class during the round- robin which made it a creative and a fun activity for learners. A learner brought some food and share it with a class to add to the celebration!Lesson Title: November is National Native American Heritage Month

The lesson plan was well structured and very informative (food stamps or SNAP). The learners were engaged, laughing and hilarious especially with an expression involving “money and honey” .
