What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):We had a couple new learners today. Made mothers day cards and played a game with scrabble letters. One of the children woke up from a nap and acted out a bit, we are still finding ways to make it a welcome environment for those with active kids so that learners can learn and children are welcome.

Tuesday was Maureens Silent class. This was my first time observing and particpating in the silent class. Everything went well and the learners enjoyed the class. I would suggest more info given to the DJ beforhand for prompts and advice for the level of talking the DJ should do.

The class was large with a large amount of children. Alot of wrangling and some confusion. Alot of energy and all the learners enjoyed themselves. A couple of new learners. We will prepare an area for any children, and ensure the DJ knows to manage the seating of new learners after the begining of the class. A great class and alot learned.

Megan was a great help with some new ideas for David to try. The lesson was dense, but we talked afterwards and brainstromed some ideas to bullet point ideas from the plan so that all learners from all levels can stay engaged and learn with more dynamic activities to work with. The class tonight was back to a fuller class, with 7 learners!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Great class. More learners than last week. New African learners. Zadok used a video technique where he looped the audio of a video and had the learners dictate what was said, and we did this a few times. This was different and engaging. David, a shadower who has attended 5 classes is to contact Zadok, and Patrik to take about officially moving forward with the class. David attached himself to the program from our PTA meetings at Irvington. I spoke with Zadok on what to do if another Person shows up shadowing without signing up first.
