What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): The thing that made this class really good was that Ivy brought a lot of cool stuff to work with to take to the park. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get anyone to come out with us. There was interest, and we got a maybe.. but then no. The thing that made this class not so good was that I lost the names and had to recover them by checking the loyalty cards. First time that’s happened to me!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): I used cartoon birds as the theme today.. which took it in a totally different direction, and was funny.. woody woodpecker, foghorn leghorn, tweety bird. Some of them recognized the famous birds. Some, I learned they called different names in their language (Pajaro Carpintero for Woody Woodpecker). This was the first Wednesday at the new time.. and was pleased to see several new folks and several familiar faces. Babies, new folks, and work on the roof caused a bit of commotion at the beginning of the class, but we moved folks around a couple of times and by the end, it was pretty great.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):the class stated on time we filled seats fast then soon doing the listen & point. It was fast pace a few learner’s had abit of trouble keeping up so some just waited for the next one. The yell & spell did ok but needed to remind class to keep ( what is my first name after being spelled) instead of what’s my name. Then we went to the module Yani had a sheet they all got. Then she read a sentence then they search for it some got it fast but most students for got to point and say (here it is) we need to reinforce that practice. The class ended on time.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Class started about five minutes late due to learners arrival. We started we alphabet & listen and point, then listened to the song The shot heard round the world and practiced pronunciation of key words. Next we did word scramble and finished with TPR which was specially fun as we sang ‘Head, shoulders, knees and toes’ and played ‘Do what I say but not what I do’. Jane was able to manage the extraordinary circumstance of unexpectedly having her iPad not cooperate with the class because of a feature called ‘screen curtain’ which made the screen not display any image at all, but she moved on with the other activities and all was good.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We had 4 new students including a married couple and the mother of a student. Most showed writing proficiency but a lack of confidence and proficiency in oral communication. This was a gentle intervention class for Krysie, who rolled with Patrik’s punches well, and the class did not seem disturbed by the fact this was a teaching class for Krysie.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Franz introduced them to the vitamins concept, people were interested to know more, some of them discovered that not only by taking vitamin supplements they can get a daily quota but also by eating right foods..everyone had a smile, By far this has been the best class for Franz he was assertive and comfortable doing his job as a MC. He let me (YANI) know that he is going to be away for a while.. I take this opportunity to let him know that He is appreciated and that his efforts to help others are commendable Thank you Mr. Franz Gordon hope to see you soon..

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Class started on time and ended about 2-3 minutes early. It was very fun and enjoyable. We had a Russian speaking learner who was struggling to understand the meaning of “here it is” and we managed to help her find the way to say it and use it with complete knowledge of the meaning. That was an absolutely exciting moment, we clapped and laughed, and the class was filled with a contagious positive energy. Jane used her iPad to play a YouTube song about the War of Independence and finished with a TPR exercise.
