What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We started with the alphabet sheet, then yell and spell. After this, we listened to “winter wonderland” and then Brenna Dictated a few verses of lyrics. We sang along with the song afterwards. Ended the class with Brenna reading a paragraph on the winter Olympics while students followed along followed by a word search with Winter Olympics vocab words. Students didn’t know many of these: (luge, skeleton, biathlon, etc.) The new learner, Maria, cannot write or spell her name easily and speaks very quietly. Cuc helped her along as best she could, but Maria ultimately didn’t write anything for most of the dictation and needed help on the alphabet sheet as well. Tony spoke a lot of Spanish with Guillermo, who was working through the dictation slower than the others.
