Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 6What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Dictation, then Listening, Writing, and Speaking exercises around the language and steps of impeachment were challenging for the group, but providing key vocabulary first (impeachment, whistleblower, etc.) helped. Great energy and enthusiasm around Dictation Progress with Greetings and Replies. Learners also had a chance to provide common phrases from their native languages. Everyone had fun!

The group’s large size (17) and range of learners was a challenge; but everyone engaged and seemed to have fun. We were lucky to have an observer who jumped right in to help out!

Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 6What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Using a handout with common zoo animals, learners took dictation and repeated words, phrases, and simple sentences describing unique animal qualities, e.g. “Rabbits use their long ears to hear predators”. Everyone participated and especially enjoyed the group activity of mimicking animal behaviors, e.g. hopping when the word “kangaroo” was said. Kudos to Amanda!

Then everyone went into the stacks to select one English book, tell the class why they chose it, and read a sentence from it. Great energy and good engagement from nearly all learners!
