What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Class started late because the room was in use beforehand. Learners trickled in and we waited for interpreters to show up. We did yell & spell with names and we said our addresses. We went over a PowerPoint about education in the US using examples of documents. We then had a guest speaker from the Library come and go through a PowerPoint about libraries and the services they provide.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Alphabet sheet listen and point and then, because learners were responding well to listen and point we moved on to letter combination dictation. We played a numbers game centered on who can say numbers the fastest. We then did yell and spell with names and moved on to a dictation progression with a guiding sheet. Played a game that involved following directions and moving around and we ended with Listen and Do with cardinal directions.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Today was Tiffani’s Dress Rehearsal Class started with a breath in/out exercise and then proceeded to listen and point with the Alphabet sheet, some late comers arrived and were welcomed into the class. We then did yell and spell with our names. After this we did dictation progression with the name of today’s lesson, we then looked at a chart and did listen and point. After listen and point using words from the chart we did a dictation of words on the chart, afterwords we did a dictation progression with numbers and then sentences centered around those numbers. We ended on time and had everyone fill out their attendance cards.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Some learners entered class late but were welcomed. We did listen and point with the alphabet sheet, yell and spell with our names, and a dictation progression. We then introduced our selves, where we are from and what our country id known for. We did this through dictation progression and round robin. There was also a globe passed around and pictures of thing Colombia is known for.
