What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Officer Natasha was spearheading this class, I wasn’t doing much facilitation I was just there. She did well and got to know most people but because she was being so informal I feel that not much information was shared but relationships were made.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Today’s class was taught by a member of the financial wellness department. It was boring at best, she couldn’t hold the attention of the class with her dry PowerPoint and way of engaging with the learners. I am in talks with my supervisor to figure out how to resolve this issue with the financial wellness department.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Class today was very different. i had a group of OHSU students plan this class for their public health project. They set up station where they spoke about different health and safety topics from calling 911 to emergency preparedness to washing your hands and dental care. The students were at each station and so was a dental student and 2 police officers talking about fire and personal safety. The stations created a fun atmosphere and students each had a “passport” they had to get stamped at each station. It was a really fun class and I got good feedback from the students.

We started by introducing ourselves and then we did 2 inquiries “What did you think of police in your home country?” “What are your perceptions of the police in the US?” This was a very different class because we had mostly English speakers and only one client with an interpreter and no families only single guys so we just had a nice chat about the laws and calling 911 for 2 hours.
