What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): This was a whole new experience for me in this new space! Other than having no bathroom, no heat, parking way far away and no room to move, the class was absolutely fantastic! I had two great helpers–Jayson, who wants to be a part of PPT and Richard, a retiree who wants to find a great volunteer position (probably through Multnomah County Library system). We dictated short sentences such as “It’s your turn!” and “What was my score?” then played a series of fun and funny Minute to Win It games that involved rolling die, stacking tiny blocks and bouncing ping pong balls. We used our sentences repeatedly and cheered each other on to much hysterical laughter. Time FLEW by and we had no idea that class had been over for five minutes while we were at the tail end of our fifth (out of seven games). A learner became visibly flustered when there were police outside. It was lovely to hear another learner explain that there were police in this location a lot because of the small homeless camp right across the street and that PPT is a safe space. It felt fantastic to facilitate class where: a woman came for the first time, two shadowers were finding their place in this company and I got my first taste of the new space. :)

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):
Only two students today, so an opportunity to freeform and talk a bit more!
I used the Inglés para la jardiniera flyer, which was great because it had so much material in one place – listen & point, dictation, round robin…
I was a bit apprehensive about using it since it had spanish translation under all the english words, but as it turned out, neither of our students were spanish speakers.
We also figured out which words we could talk about that Patrik had written on the board from an ongoing training that had started that morning, primarily en español – OSHA! Tool Library! Apprentice was a good one as I am one, too :)

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):
Started out with one learner and halfway through two more showed up. We had an MC, DJ, and two shadowers so was a bit overwhelming at first (maybe cap the amount of shadowers at this location?). Spanish class was immediately afterwards so no time to do reflection. Will try to either have the Spanish class fifteen minutes later or find a place to have a reflection w/ shadowers outside the office.January 21, 2019 at 4:08 pm #10778Thitichaya SirirattanameteeSpectatorLesson Title: Rose city resources

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We used a small booklet about needed information that is practical and real materials. Zadok applied TPR activities with a lesson very well. He also used a game with TPR too. Learners seemed to get confused, but a game activity could get their energy and attention.
