What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):

Overall a great class last night! It was Diana’s dress rehearsal, Arien was a supporter and I was DJ. We had 6 learners – all return students. Everyone seemed to work especially hard this time and most of the students reported they were tired at the end of the class after so much learning and practicing! There were a lot of laughs and a lot of risk taking in this class in particular. I was bummed that Eugenia did not come so that I could apologize for offending her recently. Word of wisdom to all teachers, thanks to the insight of Arien: In mainstream Latino cultures it is rude to toss gifts/presents/food to people. Don’t do it! Anything else is ok to toss to someone, but not anything in those categories.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Ramin did a great job MCing today. He had a well-prepared lesson that flowed well. 9 students were there at the start of class and stayed the whole time (several stayed after to chat and relax). Eugenia arrived at 7 and only stayed for about 10 minutes, then left again. We all agreed she seemed out of sorts but none of us knew what could have been the matter. Regardless of this, the flow was not interrupted. Ramin gave out chocolates today and most students took one and thanked him! There was a good mix of speaking, writing, moving around a little, reading, interacting.
