What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):
After alphabet & names we explored Oregon wildflowers through a series of exercises: coloring deserts, mountains, and ocean on a map of Oregon; Coloring and writing wildflower names; Round Robin about wildflower you have seen; and a spelling game using scrabble tiles. Half the class showed up almost 30 minutes late! But it turned out they had come all the way from Lake Oswego. Maureen did a great job of integrating them into the class.Ivy WatsonSpectatorLesson Title: take a walk

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We took the class on a walking field trip to Rockwood Central Park. Choral response & “This is an apple” exercises at stops along the way. Listen & Do with pointing at park features, “This is an apple” with objects Megan brought. Water & snack. The small group size required some improvised re-working of the lesson plan but ultimately allowed us to work more closely with the 3 learners who attended.
