What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Five Spanish-speakers attended. One was present for the first time since last summer and was actually quite advanced. This was the second visit for another and she was far behind the others, but everybody shared with her. Kelly felt prepared, and DJ responded that the lesson flowed smoothly. Kelly observed that it was a struggle for the new learner to use some of the materials but otherwise the engagement was good.

Please add one learner to the Irvington Elementary class of 3/14/2017: sparuzonz8.

Also, there were 8, not 7 learners.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): There was a complete outline, Trimet System Map main prop, brought enough for all learners and DJ. Benjamin felt that his arrival time was not optimum, but he prepared DJ for late arrival and they were engaged when he arrived at 6 PM and began the lesson. Used multiple techniques with variety interspersed to keep all engaged well. Reordered learners for optimum placement of advanced and beginning level learners to help each other.
Lesson included a Q and A format which students readily learned.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):
Ramin was present to perform a “gentle intervention” on the MC.
The MC felt that he had had to change his prepared plans but felt that he improvised well and basically followed great opportunities as suggested by Ramin. Overall the MC felt good about the class.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Components of lesson (what’s my name, writing “Today’s lesson is…”, reading aloud, finding words on handout, using props handed around the table for “this is a ….”, listening to video and writing words of speaker, and reading them aloud) flowed well and were balanced in amount of information and intensity. MC kept in mind difficulty level of each learner.
