    What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Patrik had assistants sit between learners since there was nearly a one-to-one ratio. He brought “Know Your Rights” handouts and used them for a Listen and Point activity. There was a lot of discussion and explanation (in Spanish and English) about what the information means and how it might be used. Learners were very interested in the topic. Patrik dictated some useful phrases, that they wrote and repeated.

Dictated phrases: I do not consent to this search, 5th Amendment, Right to remain silent, I do not wish to speak with you, Am I free to go. Did a round robin with questions: Where are you from? (Sandy, Boring, etc.) and Am I free to go? Again, lots of questions and discussion. some asked for the handout from Tuesday because they missed class.
