What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): The class was spent talking about Midland Park and the components that make up a tree. We dictated a few sentences about the history of the park and then dictated parts of the tree (both singular and plural). We did “This is a” with different materials that I collected outside before class began. We went outside and talked about two different trees. I made students repeat sentences one-by-one in a group. We headed back in to fill out a Fill in the Blank Worksheet about different parts of a tree. The students were super engaged and the energy was very high! Probably the funnest class I ever taught. All of the students’ energies meshed very well and made for an awesome class.
