What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Two new learners who were really engaged. Cam’s lesson was about cards and the game of blackjack. This included a video on the rules and an activity where students had to say what the card was (“9 of spades!”). The three students were really getting it, so we closed by playing some blackjack, which everyone enjoyed.

She did a dictation about baking, listen and point with a recipe, brought in all of the ingredients, and even surprised the class with cookies. Great turnout and everyone was really involved.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Good class! Lots of energy, and Rebecca did a great job keeping the class engaged. She brought in a map that showed the path of totality, which was the focus of both the listen and point and the the dictations. This was a great tool, as it was the focal point of the lesson and allowed us to talk geography.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Good class! Cam was relaxed but effective. A big variance in the level of learners, but the lesson had something to offer to everyone. Cam also managed to incorporate some video and a great handout on presidential powers.
