What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):
Started with a dialogue about going to the market.. We practiced that for a good 15 minutes or so, using our food images to answer the question with. This was a nice seguey into the food bingo activity. Learners wrote the name of the food that I showed them, then they played bingo. I wish I had brought in a prize of some sort. The win was a bit uneventful :-/
The last 20 minutes or so, I had them listening to a youtube clip about ‘how to shop at a farmers market’. It was quite challenging for 1 learner, tho the other did pretty good. They listened and wrote what they heard, we only got through about half of the steps, but ultimately great listenting practice.

Also for this class we started with a dialogue about going to the market.. We practiced that for a good 15 minutes or so, using our food images to answer the question with. We then practiced using do you prefer ___ or ____ with regards to grocery store vs. farmers market. This was more difficult than I thought it would be; we had to first figure out what ‘prefer’ meant and then review the difference between a supermarket and farmers market. We worked together to get the best practice out of it, and they worked hard!
The last 25 minutes or so, I had them listening to the youtube clip about ‘how to shop at a farmers market’. It was pretty challenging for all, but we got through all the steps and it was great listenting practice.
