    Poise: Charlie Brown (1) vs. Prince (10) = 4
    Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 3

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Not a bad class for my first time with this group, new site, etc..The beginning (alphabet and yell n spell) was a little rocky/out of synch but that’s expected with a newish group. We had fun learning the names of various kitchen items- and writing and pronouncing them- and then practicing verbs related to actions commonly performed in the kitchen. I’ll look forward to being back next week :)

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): There were 6 learners, 3 under the age of 12. One of the children was at a very beginner level, and the group was quite multi-leveled overall, but everyone did great and helped eachother a lot. We did alphabet, names, body part TPR then dictation. We then wrote down then practiced a short dialogue using various symptoms (I have a headache, stomachache, my back hurts, etc..) It was fun! :)

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We did a lesson about an eye exam. We filled a medical history for an eye exam. We did Listen and Point for eye diseases as well. We had talked about comparing the cost of an eye exam between their country and the U.S.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We went to the grocery store, Albertsons, and paired up.. it was fun, and mildly awkward at times. one of the Spanish learners left early. I made it weird with the starbucks gift certificates, and didn’t give them out until after. Would be ideal to have more planning together with Mira

    Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 4

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): all in all a great time, with great pictures, heartfelt moments. Although, on the technical side, some additional coordination on the facilitation would have been good. I gave the facilitation to Mira, but ultimately intervened in one part to match up the learners a little better, but then a final participant came, and I put them in a group of three, and as a result, it wasn’t the best combo of people, and one of the Spanish learners left. That diminished the numbers above quite a bit. But if that hadn’t happened, it would have been very great, there were many nice moments of recipe sharing going on.
