We had fun learning the names of various kitchen items- and writing and pronouncing them- and then practicing verbs related to actions commonly performed in the kitchen. I’ll look forward to being back next week :)

One of the children was at a very beginner level, and the group was quite multi-leveled overall, but everyone did great and helped eachother a lot. We did alphabet, names, body part TPR then dictation. We then wrote down then practiced a short dialogue using various symptoms (I have a headache, stomachache, my back hurts, etc..) It was fun! :)

I made it weird with the starbucks gift certificates, and didn’t give them out until after. Would be ideal to have more planning together with Mira

Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 4What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): all in all a great time, with great pictures, heartfelt moments. Although, on the technical side, some additional coordination on the facilitation would have been good. I gave the facilitation to Mira, but ultimately intervened in one part to match up the learners a little better, but then a final participant came, and I put them in a group of three, and as a result, it wasn’t the best combo of people, and one of the Spanish learners left. That diminished the numbers above quite a bit. But if that hadn’t happened, it would have been very great, there were many nice moments of recipe sharing going on.
