What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Used library laptops to practice searching for community resources, such as the local school district website, doctors in Sandy, and educational games for children. Good opportunity to practice basic computer skills like scrolling and typing in search words. Then we did a book scavenger hunt, with each Learner choosing from a basket a paper with an item written on it. First they had to search for the item on the laptop, using limiters to make sure they were selecting an available item in Sandy. Then they went in to the library to find the item. We did this twice, and the second time was much easier for them. So learning happened!
