What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We are both new to teaching at Midland. Class was slightly smaller than usual but with a lot of new learners. We dictated facts about native plants and the bleeding heart, then filled out a diagram showing the different parts of the Oregon Iris. Will be figuring out the best ways to make the activities work for a larger group in the future.

In class today, students were introduced to Youtube and words associated with that topic including website and videos. They dictated various sentences about Youtube and did a word search with the new vocabulary including sports highlights, music videos, and movie trailers. Lastly, each student participated in a dialogue asking if they have ever watched Youtube videos. Overall, the students responded well with the topic and enjoyed getting to watch a few videos during class!April 11, 2018 at 10:31 pm #9985WebMaestrexKeymasterLesson Title: The title of this day’s lesson has been lost to time.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):The classroom didn’t get filled up until 15 after 6, near the end of the alphabet sheet. There was a brand new learner who had a personal friend there to assist throughout the whole class. The whole class was fully engaged with the word search and learning different type of Social Media. Not all learners know what social media is but learners help each other as usual so it worked out well. As most of the learners know each other, a lot of sharing and connection happened throughout the entire session.
