Poise: Charlie Brown (1) vs. Prince (10) = 6
Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 4What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Very interesting group.. was surprised to have three folks, better turnout than several days prior. One new leaner, quite low level, good repeater, but really not tuning into what’s happening (I’ve had this before with a couple of other Chinese learners). We did a lot of repeating and going around the circle.. several times “how many children do you have” and others. At some point, came to the Are You My Mother book.. and Janet had MADE A SMALL BOOKLET ALREADY, which was surprising and very cool. Almost startling! had an interesting setup where one person read, another wrote, and another pointed to the words as they were being said. this helped manage three levels. I thought I was a little too bossy, but at the end, the higher skill person totally approached me to pay for my time! I’m going to see if I can get this connected to someone else, with my support in there.

Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 6What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): It was Susan’ s dress rehearsal. She knew learners, so she could motivate learners to engage with her. We had 3 learners today. we had so much fun in the lesson very well because we went to the memory garden. They seemed enjoyable while they were seeing and learning different plants and flowers in the garden. Susan also applied TPR as parts of a plant, so learners could learn vocabulary by comparing their body as a plant.
