What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): I was about 2 min late, luckily Jacob was there, and Franz too.. there was only 1 learner, just a few minutes late.. she got an incredible deal – half time pay for 3 hours of practice. She was a little out of sorts, ran all the way there, and it was a little intimidating, perhaps, to have three men and one woman, but we got into it, and we managed to mix it up a little, though in this case, equal time for everyone takes some effort.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): A new learner today.. interesting, she was very nervous to speak – she chokes up a little bit, even.. but very competent, good listening skills. She participated well, and we showed how it goes by having Franz practice a little Spanish.. Some progress, but she didn’t stay for the second session. We practiced small talk, what time did you get up, what did you eat, etc.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): I had a successful demo of lifting a box, which included a one, two, three “Get Close” and that kept them pretty well engaged. Definitely improvement in hearing g/z and we had a new learner.. kind of ended on have you had an accident at work, not the best ending.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Today was really interesting. it was the third day with most everyone in this group, and you could really see the improvement.. just just the actual improvement in pronunciation, but that they got the activities, they remembered them.. and the engagement hit normal levels… the time went by fast, they were focused and on target. It’s so cool to see it happen!

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): I was feeling a little off balance, and the time I set aside to plan the lesson on site was spent in conversation, so I felt a little like I was pulling stuff out of a hat.. the activity about different sayings didn’t really hit the mark.. they just couldn’t think of sayings in their language.. it’s the kind of thing that might come up better if we were talking about other sayings that are more likely to trigger people’s memory. It was interesting to hear about one learner whose back hurts from standing. We reviewed safe lifting, but next class, we’re going to give the safety assessment.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): This was the 4th class of Round 5, but the 2nd to really have attendees.. it was still a bit of a struggle to get everyone on the same page, but new people started coming too. I completely forgot to enter this attendance or class report, hence low scores. Preparation is a little higher because I did have a lesson plan written out.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Unfortunately a small class this week – probably in part due to the line being down, so the people who came really wanted to be there. Because they were not working, though, we should have just kept going until 3, we had a nice small group and Kelly the owner was there. I saw some growth in confidence in one of the newer learners, and we definitely had fun. This report was entered 5 days late.
