For our purposes, the sum total of behaviors, mannerisms, mores, language, ideas, values, historical references, beliefs, institutions, laws, rituals that a group of people share. It’s a little more useful in this sense to refer to macroculture and microculture. Roughly speaking, a macroculture is like a language – it’s recognizably shared among many people, and a microculture is like a dialect, with it’s own jargon/lingo.
