    What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): This was the first class at Ventura elementary. The learners were all female and Ukrainian/Russian speakers. We started a little bit late because the learners had to fill out their registration forms. The learners enjoyed their first experience learning English and working together.

I brought apples talk practice the different types of apples and their names. I gave all of the apples to the learners and they were grateful!

    What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): The class was ok until we started writing from a video about hop faspass, the sentences seemed too difficult for the learners. We got through the sentences, but I felt that it disengaged the learners. I wasn’t happy with my performance with this one. On the bright side I had 9 learners, one of which was a Spanish speaker the rest all Russian speakers.

Good thing I anticipated some of their questions and was prepared to answer them. One learner was grateful that they are learning things that are relevant to their experiences. They said now when I go to the store I see different apples and I know the names of them.
