What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): While talking about objects from Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Years traditions, I got a bit bogged down by trying to distinguish between the star of David and the star of the Occult, as well as Christian v Jewish v Islamic symbols, which was disengaging for one of the learners. Finished with Judy Garland’s “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”

In the first half, we had potluck and made origami that could be used to decorate Xmas lights. There was a lot of interactions among all the learners and it was a great way to end the year.
