What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific):There were two new learners to this Wednesday class who were, for the most part, got the rhythm of the class and the use of ‘ready’ pretty quickly. There were a nice exchange of names in the beginning to help learners to get to know each other better. The entire class consists of learning how to keep bugs away naturally using essential oils and dictating & singing a fun song.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): While talking about objects from Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Years traditions, I got a bit bogged down by trying to distinguish between the star of David and the star of the Occult, as well as Christian v Jewish v Islamic symbols, which was disengaging for one of the learners. Finished with Judy Garland’s “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”

In the first half, we had potluck and made origami that could be used to decorate Xmas lights. There was a lot of interactions among all the learners and it was a great way to end the year.
