Materials Status (loyalty cards, alphabet sheets, etc): Looks like we’re getting low on loyalty cards

    Self Evaluation

Preparation: Forgot to Show Up (1) vs. Every Hair In Place (10) = 6
Technique: Completely Incompetent (1) vs. Flawless Delivery (10) = 6
Engagement: Snoring Loudly (1) vs. Absolutely Riveted (10) = 5

    Reflection: “It was ok.” (1) vs. Life-changing Epiphany (10) = 6

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Just one learner for a while, but two more peculated in. One student came to another one of the classes offered here, but she wanted to come to our classes because the other ones were “too advanced”. Group was really good at rolling with the language given to them and were easy to laugh.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): First class of the summer! a nice group of returnees. One new person, but her kids were pretty rowdy, and it made it tough for her to participate. I took the group out into the library for this reason, and that was pretty successful.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We focused on insect pollinators. We went through some different kinds of pollinators, had a dictation about them, did a word search with related words, and a few round robins. Students seemed interested and engaged with the material and each other. The Spanish speakers and the Russian speakers exchanged translations for the pollinators, which was fun for them and cool to see that connection! Ramin was organized and poised and very helpful with the students.
