No one came to the class tonight. I know some folks arrive late but not usually after 6:30 so I waited until 6:35. Sofia, who usually assists, also wasn’t there.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): We started class late but jumped right in and did a document search about free movies/music in the park this summer. We did dictation about parks and then actually went to Khunamokwst Park. There we did some more dictation and then two activities; we did an observtational exercise where learners wrote down what they saw around the park (specific, detailed things). Learners also closed their eyes and listened for a minute and then discussed what they heard.

What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Just one learner today, one of the most reliable.. she was a few minutes late, and I thought for a bit nobody would come! But it was cool, because program partner and new Latino Network coordinator who I know came by, and we had a chance to talk about stuff, so that was great! We mostly talked about summer plans, future plans, and practice.

We went out to the garden and learners wrote down as many vegetables as they could find. Back in the classroom, we talked about what our favorite vegetable was.
