What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): we went through the standard lesson plan. and then began the lesson topic of preparing for an earthquake. There were two learners who were lower level so the DJ and Diana focused their time on them so that Priya could move on with the more advanced learners. There was a video about how to be prepared and the myths of preparation and also a little game about what to put in to an emergency kit. One of the learners had a pocket knife which was a new item for some in the room. We were able to use it as an example to introduce a real world item to some of the learners.

We started off by introducing ourselves to each other, then did choral response with the names. We did the storm activity which got everyone laughing. We also did the round robin activity with asking people if they had ever broken a bone or had stitches. We also did the body parts listen and do and wrote these down towards the end.
