What happened (as short or as long as you like, but be specific): Had 5 helpers and 4 learners, some helpers came in late so we rearranged a couple times. Because of the ratio, we were able to support the newest learner in a one-on-one manner, which helped him gain confidence as the class progressed. Many side conversations between helpers and learners took place while waiting for the lower-level students to catch up.
