Certificate Program

Program with PPT designed to train people to become effective teachers of English in a classroom setting.

A certificate program is any kind of training or course of study that provides the participant with a certificate at the end. It is legal in the US to create certificate programs for anything that you want, and it doesn’t imply academic rigor or accreditation.

We felt it was important to provide people with practical classroom skills, opportunities to get to know the wider community, a place to apply theory, and also bring a social justice/cultural competence perspective to language teaching, particularly to immigrants and refugees. So, we developed a certificate program to guide the development of practical intercultural communication skills.
